BOSTON, September 2, 2015 ‐‐ Solomon Owayda and Christine Patrinos announced today the launch of their new firm, Mozaic Capital Advisors, LLC, a full service boutique firm specializing in secondary market transactions for private equity, real estate and other alternative asset interests. A key element to the start‐up is an alliance with Monument Group, a leading independent alternative investment fund placement agent founded in 1994.
Mozaic’s co‐founders offer a combined 40 years of experience in investing and managing institutional private equity investment portfolios. The founders bring together extensive industry relationships and expertise to offer clients comprehensive services with a thoughtful, hands‐on approach to navigate the secondary landscape and manage the secondary transaction process.

Owayda was most recently a Managing Director and senior member of the investment team at Siguler Guff, helping Chief Investment Officers of pension funds in the analysis and disposition of private equity partnership interests. Previously, he spent 12 years as the Chief Investment Officer of London‐based SVG Advisors (part of SVG Capital PLC), growing the private equity portfolio to more than €4 billion under management and helping to establish the firm’s secondary business, overseeing transactions in excess of $1 billion of interests. Previously, he was the Director of the alternative investments program at California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) where he directed the investment of over US$2 billion to US and European partnerships, and made the first secondary investment for the program.
Patrinos has over a decade of experience in the private equity space. At HarbourVest Partners, she was a member of the investment team, investing in buyout, venture, credit, distressed and infrastructure fund managers. Most recently, she managed her own private equity consulting practice advising institutional clients on secondary transactions, fund structuring and portfolio valuation. During her years at HarbourVest and later as a consultant, she invested and advised on over $900 million in private equity fund interests. Patrinos began her career at Citigroup in New York where she was a founding member of the infrastructure M&A practice, advising private equity clients, listed fund managers and alternative asset fund managers on multi‐billion dollar acquisitions and divestitures.
Both Owayda and Patrinos hold Series 7 licenses with Monument Group, Inc., a FINRA registered broker dealer.
