Monument Group Names New Japan Representative
BOSTON and TOKYO, January 18, 2021- Monument Group, one of the industry’s leading global placement agents, today announced the hire of Hiroshi Nishimuro as Japan Representative in the firm’s Tokyo office, effective January 12, 2021. Mr. Nishimuro will lead the firm’s fundraising efforts and general partner relationships in Japan.

Mr. Nishimuro joins Monument Group from Morgan Stanley, where he held a variety of positions since 2009, including leading private equity initiatives in Japan for Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia. As a product specialist, his coverage encompassed all alternatives, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit and energy. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Nishimuro worked at Unison Capital, a Japan-based mid-cap buyout firm, and as an Equity Analyst in the Global Investment Research Division of Goldman Sachs in Japan. Mr. Nishimuro received a BA in Law from Soka University and an MA in International Law and Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
