Monument Group Adds Karl Adam to London Team
LONDON, 12 January 2015 – Monument Group, a leading independent alternative investment fund placement agent, announced that Karl Adam has joined the firm as a Director in the London office.
At Monument Group, Karl will have investor coverage responsibility for German‐speaking Europe and some UK‐based investors. He will focus on both enhancing existing LP coverage and building relationships with new institutional investors and general partners in the region.
“Karl brings more than 10 years of experience and strong buy‐side skills to our team in London,” said Janet Brooks, Partner at Monument Group. “His contribution will further boost our presence in Europe and enhance our coverage with both investors and general partners.” Prior to joining Monument Group, Karl was a Vice President at Citi Private Bank where he assisted ultra‐ high net worth clients invest in a variety of asset classes, including private equity. He was responsible for sourcing, diligence, and fund raising for European private equity opportunities.
Prior to working at Citi, Karl spent four years as a Senior Associate at Alta Advisers where he focused on private equity and natural resources funds. He also spent two years at CHAMP Private Equity, a Sydney‐based firm, working on several mid‐market Australian transactions, including a for‐profit education business and a printing company. Karl began his career as a business analyst at management consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
Karl holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Born in Berlin, he is fluent in German.
