Boston, March 3, 2025 – Monument Group, a leading independent global capital advisory firm, has been named “Placement Agent of the Year in Asia” in the PEI Awards. The award reflects the firm’s exceptional performance in achieving a series of highly efficient and impactful fundraises for General Partners in Asia Pacific and its success in securing capital from prominent Asian investors for its global clients.

Notable 2024 achievements for Monument Group in the region included:

• GP Fund IV (JPY 86 billion): Closed at the hard cap within just seven months of launching the virtual data room. Achieved without roadshows or conference attendance, this accomplishment underscores the strength of Monument Group’s investor network and digital outreach capabilities. Notably, Monument Group reshaped the international investor base, replacing 50% with primary investors better aligned with the GP’s strategic goals.
• GP Fund II (AUD 350 million): Achieved a “one-and-done” close at the hard cap within six months. Monument Group was able to completely transform the LP base from 80% domestic high net worth investors in the previous fund to over 80% global institutional capital in Fund II, demonstrating its ability to reposition funds and attract top-tier global investors.
• GP Fund II (JPY 65 billion): Another “one-and-done” success, this time at the hard cap within just four months. As the GP’s first foray into international fundraising, Monument Group’s strategic guidance and strong investor network enabled the GP rapid entry into the global investor network.
• $400 million raised from 11 LPs in a single Asian geography for a global GP: The majority of commitments came from first-time investor relationships, exemplifying Monument Group’s ability to unlock new sources of capital.
• $35 million secured from Asian investors for a global client’s product extension. These commitments represented the investors’ first entry into the sub-asset class, reflecting Monument Group’s ability to unlock new capital sources and drive diversification.
